Noise Walls

Project Overview

MU Group was engaged by Transport for NSW (former RMS) to develop strategic designs for three noise walls. These projects are part of the NAP (Noise Abatement Program), which aims to reduce noise levels for eligible homes and areas affected by high traffic noise.

Through strong commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes and cost-effective solutions for the client, the MU Group team successfully delivered the strategic design of three noise walls. The Tarren Point and James Ruse Drive noise walls have already been constructed, while the Cooranbong noise wall is currently on public display (REF), showcasing our team’s expertise and commitment to effective noise reduction solutions.

Project highlights

The solutions that we provided were

01

Functional and safe

Our design successfully addressed the constraints of existing utilities, such as drainage and overhead powerlines, that intersected with the planned alignment of the noise walls.

02

Cohesive and integrated

We employed a flexible design approach to ensure smooth integration between the new and existing noise walls.

03

Environmentally responsible

Our approach met a balance between noise mitigation and environmental preservation, resulting in projects that are both environmentally responsible and noise effective.
